Electronics are everywhere in daily life but our industry (manufacturers, sub-contractors and independent distributors) is faced, more than ever, with the problems of forged, copied or inferior quality products.

SOPHIA ELECTRONICS is extremely vigilant and ensures that all of its components are of irreproachable quality.

How do we guarantee the quality of our components?

• We ensure that our partners adhere to our quality ethic
• We conduct quality tests and verify authenticity of products in close collaboration with independent test laboratories.
• All goods received are subjected to rigorous checks using a quality control and traceability system (digital photo, packaging, date code and RoHS)

RoHS

SOPHIA ELECTRONICS works closely with its professional partners and its clients to ensure that the RoHS 2002/95/EC norms and EU directives 2002/96/EC (WEEE) are respected.

The RoHS (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances) directive, since 1st July 2006, aims to reduce the negative impact on the environment of products at the end of their life by strictly limiting the use of six dangerous substances in electronic equipment.

The WEEE directive provides for selective collection, treatment and other forms of adding value to electric and electronic equipment waste.

This directive applies to products placed on the market after 13 August 2005 in European countries.
